New feature added || Добавена е нова опция

Hello! Today we have added a new feature - e-cards. Every registered user will have access to it. The anonymous visitors can't send e-cards. The registration in the gallery is free of charge and everyone can create own username.

Здравейте! Днес добавихме нова възможност - е-картички. Всеки регистриран потребител ще има достъп до тях. Анонимните посетители няма да могат да изпращат. Регистрацията в галерията е напълно безплатна и всеки може да си създаде потребителско име.

Multilanguage support added || Галерията вече е многоезична

From today, the gallery can be viewed entirely in Bulgarian. It is set to automatically select the language (English or Bulgarian) according to your browser. Since there are many different programs for browsing, we left the ability to manually select the language.

От днес галерията може да бъде разглеждана изцяло на български език. Настроена е автоматично да избира езика (английски или български) според настройките на браузъра, с който се зарежда. Тъй като има много и различни програми за сърфиране, сме оставили възможност за ръчно избиране на езика.

New album added with photos from village Starosel

Today we have added some new photos. They are found in the album Starosel. It will be the first one. There is some interesting info for every photo.

New feature added on 22 Sep 2010

Hello,

We have added a new feature today. It is available only for registered users. The feature gives you the possibility to "watch" an album. There are a few options. The first one is to watch the selected album for new items (photos or subalbums). The second one is watching for new comments.

The feature sends e-mails to the user. It's using the e-mail you have filled in the registration form.

Soon there will be new features added and new albums are already waiting for uploading! Stay in touch with our gallery.

New photo album in the gallery

Hello,

Today (21 Sep 2010) we have added a new album. The photos in it are captured in town Kalofer.

 In Kalofer is Hristo Botev's house. He is one of the most famous people born in Kalofer. His house is converted to a museum and everyone is allowed to visit it.

Successful migration

Hello,

Success!!! Our migration process is finished. Now the gallery should load much faster! Try it out.

We moved to a virtual hosted machine with 2 cores, a lots of MHz, memory and speed. I hope everything will be much faster now.

Use the commenting feature to inform us if there are issues.

 Continuing to personalize our gallery we are ready with our new logo. It is shown on every page's header. It's simple but we want our site to be different!

Windows Vista gadget

Hello,

 I am happy to inform you of a new feature which our site is offering. It is a gadget for Windows Vista. I have tried it on Windows 7 and it works without any problems so I can tell that it is compatible also with Windows 7. This gadget will connect to the gallery and will show on your desktop a small slideshow of random images. The only thing you need to do is to download the gadget and install it. It will automaticaly connect to our gallery as it is inserted as default.

The only thing left is to show you the link of the gadget: here it is.

New albums added

 I have added two new albums today. They are as follows:

1. Album of valley Chepino
2. Album of dam lake Batak

They should be on the first page of the gallery. Have a nice moments taking a look at the photos!

I want just to remember you to comment and rate the photos you like without hesitating.

New album order

Hello,

 I thought about the order in which the albums are shown. As a result I changed the old order because it sent the newest albums to the last page after all other. The new order will be better for users who are entering the site whenever there is a new album because the newest one will be the first shown in the gallery.

Registered users' advantages

Hello,

 Today I have added a new permission to the gallery. Since today the unregistered users (a.k.a. anonymous visitors) can only see the resized versions of the images. The original sizes of the photos will be viewable only by Registered users.

 This permission is not added for restricting the free access to all the photos but for restricting the free download of the original sized ones. I hope that this won't bother you.

 For my final words today I will say that I am thinking of watermarking the full sized pictures. I will update the blog with information about it when I decide whether I will add a logo to every photo or not.

Change of photos' names

Hello again!

One of the main goals a site should have is better search engine's indexing. This will help us too to get better results. This is the reason for changing the names of the photos. Every photo now is named with a words instead of letters and a number. This will help indexing the gallery better.

New feature added to the gallery

Well, I am happy to tell you that there is a new feature. I have added a button with which help you can share the photo you like in the social networks and show it to your friends. You will find the button under every photo. I am still wondering if I should add it under every album so you can share whole albums. 

I hope you will like the new feature.

First post to start the blog :)

The gallery is online for almost 3 months. I am trying to upload new photos every month. I am making this blog for sharing information about new photos or albums added or any changes or improvements made. At this moment the gallery contains 10 albums with photos made at different places in Bulgaria.

The last album was added today. It contains photos from  ski resort Bansko. Feel free to rate or comment every photo you like. The comments are published after moderation, because everyone can comment at this time.
